Welcome to IMA Dashboard, an ongoing effort to measure various aspects of the Museum's performance. We welcome your comments on our progress in serving the IMA's mission. To navigate the Dashboard in particular areas, the tabs at the top of the screen drop down to allow for more detail. The goal of the Dashboard is to seek to quantify and report out on areas of activity of general interest to museum observers and to particular interest to museum studies specialists, colleagues, and patrons.

Electrical Consumption

The IMA's average daily electrical consumption for the current month.

The IMA's operations staff is committed to consistently meeting the stringent temperature and humidity requirements within the Museum while conserving energy at the same time. In the last 12 months, through an intense focus upon conservation, the Museum has met all requirements while using 10% less electricity – 1,458,800 fewer Kilowatt hours. Theoretically, this means our electricity supplier saved more than 725 tons of coal via our reduced requirement in that period.

Since May 2006, the IMA has reduced its average daily consumption over the same period a year earlier for 16 of the past 18 months.
