2008 Volunteer Hours

Number of hours spent by volunteers at the IMA since January 2008.

DESCRIPTION
The IMA's volunteers are essential to the operation of the Museum. Each year, volunteers provided important support to our education, horticulture, development and visitor services departments amongst others. Since the beginning of 2008, 520 volunteers have generously donated their time to the IMA.

Total volunteer hours are interpreted as "in-kind" contributions for grant proposals and other overall assessments of the Museum's operations.

EXPLANATION
All volunteers keep track of the hours they work for the Museum. These are recorded by the IMA's Volunteer Coordinator and reported on a quarterly basis.
