DESCRIPTION
Membership is a critical function of our mission that dates back to the year we were founded--1883.
Fun fact: In 1883, you could join the IMA for $10 ($200 in today's economy). For non members, general admission was free and special exhibition admission was 10 cents ($2 today).

EXPLANATION
Members are asked to present their membership card at the ticket counter upon arrival to the Museum. This figure is the total number of cards presented by members, divided by the total attendance count to date. The data is reported to the dashboard by the IMA’s Membership Manager.

The IMA's contributed support income as a percentage of the projected budget since January 1, 2008. Currently, the IMA's support is 28% under its projected income for the 2008-2009 budget period.

EXPLANATION
Actual contributed income of $1,066,886 divided by budgeted contributed income of $1,476,874 yields 28% under projected income for this budget period.
