 <title>Average Time on Web site = 2:23 minutes</title>

The average time spent on the Web site by visitors is an indicator of the quality of the content provided. Over time, the IMA hopes to increase the number of hits to the Web site, as well as the amount of time visitors spend exploring the content.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;EXPLANATION&lt;br /&gt;
The IMA tracks its vital Web statistics through Google Analytics. The number presented is the total time on site for all visits during the last 30 days divided by the total number of visits. The data is reported to the dashboard by the IMA’s Director of New Media on a monthly basis.&lt;/p&gt;

The Indianapolis Museum of Art is committed to using technology as a means to engage our visitors in new ways. Special Web Presences, including Web sites and online technology initiatives, provide another platform for connecting new audiences to art. In addition, the Web allows the IMA to reach audiences throughout the world, 24 hours a day/seven days a week.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;EXPLANATION&lt;br /&gt;
The links are updated by the IMA’s Director of New Media as projects are launched.&lt;/p&gt;

The Indianapolis Museum of Art created the Web site &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.artbabble.org/&quot;&gt;ArtBabble.org&lt;/a&gt; as a place where everyone is invited to join an open, ongoing discussion about art. It is intended to showcase video art content in high quality format from a variety of sources and perspectives. Partners whose videos are featured on ArtBabble include MOMA New York &amp;amp; San Francisco, Art21, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, The New York Public Library, and The Smithsonian American Art Museum.&lt;/p&gt;

 <title>Fans on Facebook = 4.850 Fans </title>

The IMA leverages technology as a means of communication and audience development. Facebook is one of several online social networks through which the IMA reaches audiences. Users of the social network can become “fans” of the IMA’s page as a function of the site.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;EXPLANATION&lt;br /&gt;
Facebook reports the total number of fans as individuals opt into the IMA’s social network. IMA’s Communications Manager reports the total number of “Facebook Fans” on a monthly basis to the dashboard.   &lt;/p&gt;
